FM Frequency of the Week 2018-19-20: 96.7

My barely post-puberty sounding voice was first heard on 96.7, WCSM, which is still "Doing it For You" with the 1977 TM "You II" jingles, in Celina, Ohio

Here in East Tennessee, it's Merle 96.7, WMYL, locally owned Country station trying to carve a slot among Country WIVK, Duke FM, WCYQ, and some suburban/exurban country stations.

Retro/other: Dayton, OH, most of the time if something came in it was country WBKQ, Alexandria IN. Sometimes the aforementioned WCSM or WKOV, Wellston OH.

Retro DX CLip of the week: The sign off of WUFN, Albion MI. Sometimes after our sign off on WCSM, this would come in.

Far northwest suburbs of Chicago. 95.7 is splatter from WWDV (96.9). Simulcast of WDRV, Chicago with 50kw from a stick located just north of the Wisconsin state line, a few miles inland from Lake Michigan.

In the near north Chicago suburbs I get WLEY's translator on this frequency. I believe it's W244BQ.

I have not been hearing W244BQ lately. They used to over power WSSR Joliet, IL at my location, but WSSR is all I hear on 96.7 lately.

W244BQ is licensed to Park Ridge, IL, but transmits from the Aon Center downtown.

Ellensburg WA

Weak KWWW Quincy WA (KW3, Top 40). Rarely, KMMG Benton City (Regional Mexican) shows up, but it takes a lot of effort and you have to be in the right place or elevation (like Lion Rock, 6300')

Eskip has been caught here as well.
CILT Steinbach MB (Hot AC)
KMDZ Las Vegas NM (Classic Hits)
KDOG North Mankato MN (Top 40)

I used to hear WSSR all the time before Park Ridge.

Reynoldsburg, Ohio ...
Usually nothing except whether WQTT's FM translator from Marysville (W244DV) sneaks in. That's about 35 miles northwest of me, so I hear it here rarely if ever.
Last I checked, WJVG-LP still transmits from 3 p.m.-3 a.m. daily from a tower off I-71 and the East North Broadway exit on the north side of Columbus. They and WQTT fight it out over some of north and northwest Columbus.
