FM Frequency of the Week 2018-19-20: 99.3

Up to the next US traditional Class A FM frequency, 99.3.
East Tennesse: Either WNRX, Jefferon City, TN or WPBX, Crossville TN. WNRX used to be part of a trimulcast for WNML, Cumulus' Sports Animal (AM 990, FM's 99.1 and 99.3. With some relicensing and tower dancing, WNRX was downgraded to 250 watts and sold, and 99.1 was moved in to Knoxville. That makes WPBX an easy catch.

Retro/other: Dayton, OH--really nothing with powerhouse WHKO next door on 99.1
Edinburgh IN Global Tuners rx: WSCH, Aurora IN.

Retro DX clip of the week: One of the above-mentioned stations in a previous life, 99.3 was WNOX-FM and simulcasting a Country format with 990 AM: http://46124.info/FM/Tennessee/TN Jefferson City 99.3 1988 WNOX.mp3

Sideband of KWJJ (99.5).

Ellensburg WA

Equal mix of KDRM Moses Lake (Hot AC) and KMGW Naches (Classic Hits).
KDDS Elma can be heard on high hills mixing with the two.

No Es logged on 99.3 so far, but there aren't a lot of high-power targets on this channel.

Just to the east of crainbebo... Moses Lake, WA

Local on 99.3 - KDRM. When KDRM was off a couple months ago, I received KMGW Naches and K257DN/KNCW Brewster.

I had K257DN from the summit of Mount Lillian (6100') looking over the Wenatchee valley. VERY hard to find a KDRM/KMGW null but in one small centimeters-long spot, there they were with the noon report // to 92.7. And 95.1, BOTH translators echoing from Synarep and Twisp for that matter! And BOTH 1 watt!

KDRM airs Alfonso Ribeiro's 90's show on Friday nights, always fun to listen to.
