What do/did you get on 93.9
Wrapping up the "93" portion of the Class B/C Commercial frequencies, let's take a look at 93.9.
In the Knoxville/Sevierville/Smoky Mountains area, there are 3 semi-regulars. Predominant is the translator of WDVX (W230BR), but I've heard both of these stations in Knoxville, and they alternated on a trip on the new section of Foothills Parkway a couple of weeks ago. They would be Spanish WQMT, Decatur TN and good old "93.9, 94 FM", WMEV in Marion, VA.
Back in Ohio, I once heard CIDR "The River" (the old CKLW-FM) in Springfield, OH in the car when there was no other tropo of any kind, let alone from the Windsor-Detroit area. Normally, WLWD (now WBKS), Columbus Grove (Lima) predominated there. Lafayette, IN....WLAK/WLIT Chicago until Noblesville, IN signed on.
E-Skip: Both Knoxville and Dayton have netted reception of KSWN, McCook, NE.
Not by me, but here's Es reception (brief ID) of KPAS, El Paso TX from Indiana. http://46124.info/FM/Texas/TX El Paso 93.9 1976 KPAS.mp3
