FM Frequency of the Week - 91.5 MHz

What do you all get on 91.5 FM?

Here in Vermilion, OH, it is usually WOBC/Oberlin, OH (Oberlin College station). However this station 'goes dark' between semesters and when they are off, I get a somewhat scratchy WKHR/Bainbridge, OH (somewhat east of Cleveland) with a nostalgic format.

Really, nothing in Dayton. Sandwiched between local WYSO on 91.3 and WVXU Cincinnati on 91.7. Nothing very powerful on that frequency much of anywhere near here.

Schenectady, NY - local college radio station WRPI, owned by Rensselaer Polytechnic based in Troy, NY... that's pretty much all I get on 91.5 :)

In Bellingham, WA

KSQM Sequim (pronounced "SKWIM"), WA (Adult Standards) Often overcome in downtown Bellingham by local public KZAZ 91.7....

One of my strongest super-locals here in Rochester NY, WXXI-FM with 45 kW less than a mile from my house. (It's also my part-time employer!)

When we're off the air for maintenance or power failure, CBO from Ottawa tends to dominate. During the 2003 blackout, my rooftop antenna was stuck aiming northeast, and CBO was the strongest thing on the dial.

Warminster PA(Philly 'burbs):

On a regular radio, probably nothing. But on a digital radio, either college station WSRN
from Swarthmore PA(Delaware County) or WNYE from New York.

In Bothell, WA nothing would pop up on 91.5 in dead-band, but in Tropo KOPB Portland, OR would. I've also logged a few Es catches here:
KFLQ Albuquerque, NM (Family Life Radio)
KJZZ Phoenix, AZ (NPR)
XHJC Mexicali, BCN (EXA FM)
tent. KRNE Merriman, NE with mentions of a 91.1 satellator (either KUCV or KTNE), or it could have been something else. I thought it was KUNC Greeley CO at first due to the fact I was getting 105.7 KPMX in Sterling, CO.

KYDS-FM from El Camino High School here.

I get WBEZ out of Chicago from Gary, IN. I believe it's the only non-commercial station that transmits out of Chicago that covers the entire market.

I'm between Mobile, AL and Pensacola, FL, and it's first adjacent to full power NPR affiliate WHIL out of Mobile. But occasional WSTF Andalusia (Religious) will creep in. They run 20 kW from about 94 miles NE of here.

When I lived in Grenada, Mississippi, it was WAUM Duck Hill, an AFR repeater. In the background was WAVI Oxford, which is… you guessed it… AFR. They were slightly out of sync so on active days the channel would have a slight echo with both signals getting through.

In Florida, there are 91.5's galore. Some have signed on quite recently, and there's a CP for one about an hour drive west of me.

The only 91.5 I get with any regularity (if you could call it that) is WKWM in Marathon, which relays WLRN 91.3 Miami; but most of the time, WKWM's signal is smothered by the IBOC of....you guessed it.

The closest FM station (non-translator, that is) that I have *not* heard, is indeed on 91.5: WPSF with COL of Clewiston, but transmitter near South Bay, less than an hour drive from here, about 51 miles. I'm sure if I tried hard enough, I'd catch it.

There are a trio of them in Central Florida - WPRK Orlando, WAPN Daytona Beach, and WMIE Cocoa Beach. All about 40 miles from each other. It made for some interesting mixes as you would drive around.

Here in Gaffney SC on 91.5, I can hear WTBI somewhat weak,
but 91.7 WSGE in Gastonia NC is a bit stronger to cause interference to 91.5 here.
2nd adjacent 91.1 WYFG is right here in Gaffney and can cause blanket interference from 90.3 to 91.9 on low quality radios.
