FM Frequency of The Week: 95.7

What have you guys gotten on 95.7?

In Bothell, WA
KJR Seattle, WA (70s/80s hits, local)

In Wapato
KKSR Walla Walla, WA (about 90 miles, but strong at times, very good FM reception in these parts)

In LA it's usually static. Sometimes, KUSS "New Country 95.7" San Diego comes in during tropo conditions.
 
I worked at what was WCLR as Kool 95 in Piqua. Its now WHIO-FM and is dominant in Dayton. When they pop off the air and tropo is up, the Louisville 95.7 pops in.
 
For me, it's DC area's WPGC's IBOC hash from the station 30 miles away from me, though I sometimes hear Philly's Ben 95.7 FM when atmospheric conditions permits.

This brings some DX memories back in the early 90s or so, Ben FM used to be WFLN with a classical music. (Nothing against classical music) I remember that time during a tropo opening in northern VA, the station has flipped to modern AC as WXXM (?) also known as "Max", and at that time I heard Chumbawamba's "Tubthumping" along with other hits. I read somethere that the format abruptly changed in a middle of a classical piece, though I didn't know that the first song right after the format change.
 
WZID in Manchester, NH, sends a very strong signal into the northern suburbs of Boston, day and night. It's practically a local. I suppose it would be possible to receive WMMJ from Bangor and maybe even WPIG from upstate NY or WVKL from Norfolk under extreme tropo conditions, but I've never heard it happen.
 
That reminds me...I heard WPIG up in NY once in northern VA when I had an opportunity to have an FM yagi 40 feet high, facing north. That was 5 years ago.
 
I got Bayou 95.7 from New Orleans in Orange Beach AL on a walkman a couple years ago, not much ever happening on that frequency here in north AL, just birmingham's 95.7 vs a Way-FM translator in Fayetteville TN
 
Here in Poughkeepsie, 95.7 was a GREAT DX frequency until local translator W239BL signed on at the end of 2008. I used to get WKSS - Hartford, CT regular 24/7 semi-local, but not real strong. Now it's just the translator.

I'm in Connecticut and I'm sorry to say WKSS is the local station on 95.7 and it's blah. Music sped up so fast that male singers sound female, DJs with strange names including - Munchie, Skillet, Prolifik, Justin Sane, and a stunt boy on the morning show named Walmart Jeff. (Tho Skillet is no longer with the station). Plus RYAN SEACREST Noon-4PM Weekdays and his countdown on the weekend.

Plus the morning show. Courtney from KISS in the Morning. She's been doing mornings for more than 10 years now. It's basically the same show it was 10 years ago, just different characters. Ross Brittain (formerly of WABC) was her co-host. I forgot when he left. Prior to Courtney, Ross was doing the show with a gal named Robin King.
 
Here in High Bridge NJ its all WBEN Philadelphia. Rarely if tropo is strong the Tidewater VA station will come in. Never had Oliphant PA.
