I remember KOOL 95.7.East Tennessee----Local rimshot WDKW (95.7 Duke FM). I've gotten something else briefly underneath when I've been in Gatlinburg but no idea what.
Retro/other: I've worked at a 95.7, WCLR, "Kool 95.7", (now WHIO-FM), in Piqua, OH, (now Pleasant Ridge, but the tower remains in southern Shelby County. From time to time WQMF will override it in south Dayton suburbs.
Kool 95 was simulcast on Xenia's WZLR 95.3, giving us something approaching full market. We owned most of the revenue north of I-70. 95,7 was the former WPTW-FM.I remember KOOL 95.7.
On my trips to Dayton, it was one of my favorites. I would switch back & forth between Kool and WGRR Cincinnati which covered Dayton pretty well. I seem to remember that most of the Dayton FMs (except WHKO 99 1 and WTUE) have had multiple formats over the years.
