FM Frequency of the Week - 95.9 MHz

What do you all get on 95.9 FM?

Here in Vermilion, OH it is a mix of CJWF/Windsor, ON (country) and CFPL/London, ON (Rock). I'm pretty sure WYNT/Caledonia, OH has been in the mix before but I've never positively IDed it - just heard AC type music before that didn't seem to fit either CJWF or CFPL's formats.

New sign-on WLJW Fife Lake (Christian CHR). Surprisingly decent signal for 19kW at 60 miles. During cross-lake tropo, WKSZ DePere, WI (CHR) used to come in often.

In Yakima WA it's KZML Quincy, WA running the same "La Gran D" network as my local KZTA 96.9 Naches. No other Tr/Es/Ms yet.
Portland was a K-LOVE translator.
Seattle was IBOC from KJR.

Northern Essex County, NJ. WRAT from Point Pleasant dominant over WFOX from Norwalk, CT. Also, heard WCRI from Block Island, RI during tropo.

95.9 here is a local, WMXZ (Mix 96).

It has a long history even though it has only been on air less than a decade. It signed on in June 2009 as part of the years-long process which moved in 96.1 to Myrtle Beach, and gave Charleston 101.7 and 107.3 as big signals. It was supposed to start as a sports station, but instead 95.9 signed on as an oldies station, WIOP. It was a very good one, with some star local personalities from the old 102.5 here. That format only lasted about a year or so though as Apex flipped it to country. It did well enough that they moved the country to their much bigger 92.5 signal, where it remains today.

95.9 then went very soft AC for a little bit, before ramping it up. Now, it is basically an Adult Top 40. They have the same morning show that was on top 40 95SX for a long time (Two Girls and a Guy).

Prior to them signing on, I frequently heard Dublin, GA with a country format.

Here in Cincinnati on the 95.9 dial.
It's complete static. But in some areas I will be able to receive two radio station signals.
Those two radio station signals are WFTM Maysville, KY, And WKID Vevay, IN in some parts close to Cincinnati. I have DXed a radio station on this dial. That radio station is called WYNT "Majic 95.9" Caledonia, Ohio.
Inside Cincinnati, it's WKID in some areas. Outside near Cincinnati, it's WFTM and WKID. Dxed signals, it's WYNT as far as I know.
