FM Frequency of the Week - 96.7 Mhz

What do you all get on 96.7 FM?

Here in Vermilion, OH it is mostly CHYR/Leamington, ON 'Mix 96-7' (Hot AC) Tropo may bring in WBVI/Fostoria, OH (AC) or CHYM/Kitchener, ON (AC)

Covered by IBOC hash in Houston. Dallas is more interesting, with a rim shot on a tall tower re-broadcasting WBAP-AM. This frequency has bounced around different formats - country, lite music, oldies - until ABC pulled the plug on oldies so WBAP could be on FM.

Manistee: Usually WLXV Cadillac. However, WBDK Algoma, WI makes it over often during tropo (it's basically an indicator of tropo to WI)
Allendale: I-BLOC hash from WLAV Grand Rapids

Depending on where I'm at in Lake County, IN, I usually get WSSR Joliet, IL in most of the county, while in the eastern part of the county, I'll get WCOE LaPorte, IN.

Washington Coast (Pacific Beach, Ocean Shores, Westport)
VERY strong KCRF Lincoln City, OR with classic rock.

Yakima, WA
VERY weak KMMG Benton City, WA

Nothing in Portland or my QTH near Seattle.

Northern VA,
I get a weak WDLD "Wild 96.7" with the (cough, cough) hip-hop format and weaker WCEI Easton, MD with the AC format, depending on the atmospheric condition. WCEI is east of the Chesapeake Bay. I have logged in 96.7 "The Block", with a hip-hop format, forgot the calls, from Currituck, NC, near the Outer Banks coast, during a tropo event.
There used to be WJMA 96.7 Orange, VA barely here with a classic country format, but now, it's WWLB 98.9 with the adult hits format near Richmond.

Houston does get the occasional visit from KHFI-Austin @ 96.7.

From Gaffney, SC - WROO from Greenville, SC, but very weak.
WKKT from the Charlotte area easily interferes.

Also, during tropo, WLTY from Columbia makes it up here,
fighting with WROO in Greenville.
Both 96.7s in Columbia & Greenville are owned by Clear Channel.

WROO is also under CP to move to 104.9 soon.
