FM Frequency of the Week: 98.9

So this is a fun one for me, in my mountain neighborhood near Bellingham WA. We have a local 250W xlator that repeats classic hits KBAI 930 (K-Bay)- but the HD1 from distant KPNW Seattle tends to capture it in some locations as I am on the edge of both service areas. SO in the course of a few hundred hard drive you might switch back and forth five times with clear sounding signals on each. I think KPNW's HD signal heading northbound overshoots it's analog by a bit so we end up with this situation. I can imagine someone who has an HD radio in their car but is not super aware of this would be perplexed.

Update the WSPA "Magic 98.9" signal is restricted in Franklin NC, due to the W255CR "Franklin's First Voice" translator operating on that same frequency.
 
WSPA Magic 98.9 from the GSP market will soon move to 106.3 on March 28th. 98.9 will become news talk WORD, which is currently on 106.3
