FM morning shows on the news

Ok what is with the morning news and having the on air personalitys on the morning shows?. I rememeber when 3TV and GMAZ started that they had Beth&Bill , but at that time in 1994 KESZ was owned by channel 3.

But now it seems like every cheap channel morning show is on one the morning news shows, On GMAZ has Chris Parker from Mix 96.9, those idiots JohnJay & Rich from kiss, and I believe aslo the morning show from KNIX, while FOX 10 has Beth&Bill.

Is just cheap advertising for cheap channel?,

I rememeber when Kiss fm was Variety 104.7 and the did the simo cast of channel 12's news in the 6am hour.
