FM reception notes New Britain/Kensington, CT 9/28/20

My Mom had an appointment at Starling Physicians on Kensington Avenue on the New Britain/Kensington line just past the Route 9 connector.
I gave the FM band a spin. Stock Radio 2010 Honda Civic. The conditions today were just right to get a lot of out of the area FM stations.

94.1 WHJY Providence, RI - Crystal Clear in Stereo. No sign of the translator for WNWW 1290-AM.

94.9 WJJF Montauk, Long Island - Crystal Clear in Stereo. Heard Teresa Berry from sister station WBMW 106.5 doing the 11AM news update along with a report from Shawn Murphy (he co-hosts with Teresa on WBMW. Teresa and Shawn also co-anchor the local news updates in the morning on 96.1 Kool Radio).

95.1 WXTK Cape Cod - Mainly Clear. The Financial Exchange was starting at 11:05AM. No sign on WRKI 95.1-FM.

97.3 WJFD New Bedford, Mass - Fuzzy, but listenable Portuguese Programming.

99.5 WCRB Lowell, Mass. The Classical stationed owned by WGBH was a little fuzzy, but listenable. Station IDs included a Couple HD2 channels and a Rhode Island Station. - No sign on the Clinton licensed, but Waterbury based translator for Bomba-FM.

101.9 WFIF's Translator, Fairfield, Connecticut. - Fuzzy, but surprisingly listenable.

106.3 WWKX Woonsocket, RI. - Hot 196.3 was very fuzzy and battling it out with WWCO's translator.

106.5 WBMW Pawcatuck, CT - Crystal Clear in Stereo.

107.5 WFCC Cape Cod - Crystal Clear in Stereo.

Quite surprised by that. Every time I've parked in the lot next to New Britain Stadium where the Rock Cats used to play and tuned in 95.1, WRKI from Danbury has always come in well enough for me on that frequency (as long as my car is stationary and not driving).

Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon is still in I-95 WRKI's fairly regular rotation these days. Heard it once in September when actually listening to the station, and also saw it was played on another occasion when looking at their playlist online.
