@ - This station was carrying the Orioles vs Red Sox game, if that helps
# - Sounded like an FM simulcast of WPRO-AM 630 of Providence
* - Is the signal of 102.3 The Wolf really that bad? Also, aren't they the station who has a studio at the Riverview Garage entrance of the Mohegan Sun Casino in Montville (village of Uncasville)?

As for the AM band, I only checked WICH-AM 1310 of Norwich and their coverage of the Rock Cats vs Navigators game (which was about 10 seconds behind the action on the field). I got nothing from WPOP-AM 1410 of Hartford, but did get a weak signal from both WILI-AM 1400 of Willimantic and WTIC-AM 1080 of Hartford. As expected, due to the salt water signal path, WCBS-AM 880 of New York City was a bit weak but still listenable. (That's where I had to listen to the Yankees win their 9th game in 10 tries!)

You're thinking of WEEI-FM 103.7 of Westerly/Providence. I remember them as WWRX-FM with a rock format. I think Mike West, of 96-TIC FM fame, was one of their DJs for a time. The station was incredible in their days as RI 104 in the 1980s!

As for WWRX-FM 107.7 of Pawcatuck, I'm surprised they got that allotment. WFCS-FM 107.7 of New Britain has been on that same spot since about 1990 (when they got displaced from 97.9 FM). Often times when the CCSU campus radio station signs off, I'll wind up getting a weak signal of WWRX. (I'm in the south end of New Britain.)

Putting a Boston sports station on a signal like 103.7 is a crime against humanity! I was very sad to see WRX go, it was a great classic rocker.

Not sure where you got the Massachusetts ID, but according to radio-locator you were probably hearing this translator of WMNR. http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/info?call=W233AG&service=FX

You were actually hearing news/talk station WXTK out of Cape Cod MA! They indeed relay the Red Sox games. Located over 100 miles away in West Yarmouth, Cape Cod MA, obviously a great tropo catch. Surprisingly also bleeding over much closer I-95 WRKI to the west.

How well in fact did this station come in? I got this station in clear when I was in central RI this weekend as well. Seems like they are also tropoed into this location...they shouldn't be this strong normally in Norwich.

I didn't receive a trace of WRKI-95.1 from Brookfield/Danbury at all. Thank you for the Massachusetts call letters!

WXLM-104.7 came in pretty decent with my "Walkman". It wasn't a perfect signal, but it was stable much of the time. I know that Dodd Stadium is on the west side of Norwich, near the Franklin town line. I know that because you pass through a piece of Franklin on the ridiculous back roads through an industrial park to reach the stadium (New Britain Stadium is much better, with direct access from CT 71 and CT 9!).

Once again, I received nothing from WPOP-AM 1410 of Hartford. Their Newington transmitter does quite well at New Britain Stadium, sometimes too well where I live. Sometimes I'll intentionally null their daytime signal when possible (with the Cedar Street Newington site being about 3 miles from my house).
