Some additional interesting facts about the stations listed above…

Before Clear Channel began launching “Radio Now” stations left and right, the Radio Now originated in Indianapolis at Emmis’ 93.1. When it was announced that WIBC was transitioning to the 93.1 signal, Emmis sold the intellectual property of the Radio Now brand to Radio One, which dropped smooth jazz from 100.9 and moved Radio Now there.
WKLU is unlike most K-Love affiliates as the station promotes locally and houses K-Love’s morning show talents. In addition, their sister station 90.5 WQRA serves as the flagship for Air 1’s morning show.

Thank you for all of the input! I bet if I listed what I get with the same "Walkman" in southern Hartford County, CT (close to Hartford), you'd really get confused! <

Perhaps, but that's the fun of it all. ;)

Glad to be of service. If you have any more reports you'd like to know the calls and formats for while you're in Indiana and surrounding areas, don't hesitate to post them.

Does WKLU ever break away from the network feed for local promotions? What kind of promotions are they doing?

I heard a :60 Relay for Life promotion earlier this year and caught another one I couldn't identify last month (caught the tail end of the promo). They identify as "101.9 K-Love" in local promos.

I thought the K-Love local promo breakaway was a myth until I heard 106.7 in Lafayette doing one for the Tobymac and Skillet concert that was at Purdue last year. WKLU seems to really be taking advantage of that personality presence in Indy.

What's truly sad is a west side (Danville) directional station WEDJ 107.1 is coming in poor.
Especially when the hotel is on the same path as the transmitter.

Transmitter is on IN-39 just north of US 36 (Rockville Rd) where the hotel is on about 8 miles or so.

Dead bang right down the throat of the path.
107 has really fallen down the slope these last 5 years. At one time they were getting building penetration with that signal, now it's hit and miss in the car, they were making great money but after the exit of Barnette then entrance of Dodge with a format change (and I hear current management is mostly MIA) they cant even pay their bills so it shouldn't surprise me about the signal.
Sad...sad...sad waste of signal!

Wow! I didn't even know! Could it have been due to me only having the headphone cord as the FM antenna and that I was on the hotel's first floor? Also, could all of the construction presently on I-74/I-465 nearby somehow affect reception?
