FM Scan on Yamaha T-85

That's too bad you've still got overload issues :)s) there, Andrew. If you could get a clear shot, pointed north east-to-north west, you should have no problems picking up some Canadians.

It's bizarre that I can sometimes receive 92.7 and 93.5 from London Ontario with the antenna pointed away from Canada. But If I actually point the antenna toward London, I get severe overload issues. From what I was reading, the Yamaha T-85 has the best capabilities of handling the third order IP3 overload, but from my experience, it can't get rid of the problem. I guess I'll just have to live with it.

I installed a rotator for my AntennaCraft FM6, and I'm glad I did. The Yamaha T-85 seems to be the best radio I've ever used when it comes to sensitivity, selectivity, and eliminating as much overload as possible. It's not perfect at eliminating overload, because when I point my antenna right at 97.5 (which is only 1 mile away at 12 kW), it will definitely overload and cause IP3 overloading on other random frequencies. But with the rotator, I can rotate the antenna just enough away from the source of the interference until it disappears. And it doesn't take much rotating of the antenna for the Yamaha tuner to eliminate the overloading. I'm very happy with the Yamaha!!
