FM Sound

I didn't know about the Audio Differents from the UK and the US, 50ns vs 75ns

Goes to show you, I'm learning something new
In the US FM system the audio modulation "pre-emphasis is 75 micro seconds, with a corresponding 75 micro second de-emphasis in FM radios/tuners. This improves the overall S/N ratio.

However, that improvement in signal to noise ratio comes at the expense of reduced high frequency headroom. So it is a tradeoff.

Is there any differences between 50us vs 75us pre-emphasis for audio quality or it i just different because reasons?

Something I've wondered as well.
