let me explain it to you

> stop what?

OK, let me explain it to you. This is not a chat room. This is a discussion forum. In this forum, people tend to post longer, more considered replies. This isn't really an appropriate venue for throwing one-liners back and forth. A chat room IS an appropriate venue for that.

For example, have you noticed that in here, you are the only one who uses chat-room shorthand? No one else types "u" instead of "you". That's because the basic protocol in a discussion forum is different from the protocol in a chat-room.

I suggest you take a little more time looking at what the other participants in this forum write. Look at how almost everyone uses complete sentences and even breaks their thoughts into paragraphs. That's because that's the appropriate way to participate in here.

Not that there's anything wrong with "chatting". There are lots and lots of chat rooms out there. There are lots and lots of places where flinging one-liners back and forth as if you were holding a face-to-face conversation is the normal mode of operations.

You might find that you get more and better responses in here if you make something of an attempt to conform to the appropriate standards.

Look, RR is right... if you can bring some substance to the table, join in.

Otherwise, read and enjoy.

And type in English, for crying out loud.

Well said. As a visitor from Buffalo-Rochester who reads and occasionally contributes, this board exemplifies interesting local and regional topics (some of which apply to other markets and stations), substantive discussions as well as strong opinions that are more often than not, well-written, grammatically sound and strongly articulated. Kudos! -Mike</font>

Would an FM Sports Talk do well? I guess it helped 104.7

The question was asked about a sports FM? Did anyone see if Ellis Cannon's numbers were much improved during the super Bowl run and world champion victory?
It still sounds nice to say world champion Pittsburgh Steelers. Anyway WLSW and WJPA carry a lot of local sports. Sam is going to do that. A solid Pittsburgh FM might destroy 1250 and 970 with solid local hosts and some national stuff. The talk on 104.7 was basically (other than rush and quinn) programs that were on am's without a broad audience now this signal goes from Prospect to Washington, New Stanton to Beaver Falls. Sports on FM would have the same reaction in my opinion.

I believe that the original complaint was that you started at least half a dozen discussions on the exact same topic, or on such slightly different aspects as makes no difference.

Then there's the fact that you don't actually type in English.

Perhaps you might consider reading a book about English, and how in English we capitalize the first letter of the first word of a sentence, end sentences with some sort of punctuation like a period, question mark, or maybe an exclamation point. You might consider consulting a dictionary for the correct spelling of the second person pronoun. I'll give you a hint. It requires three letters, not just one. The first person pronoun can be spelled with only one letter, but that letter is always capitalized.
