FM talk or sports in the QC?

Does anyone think an FM talk station would workin the QC? I know WOC has been around forever, maybe if the rating tank on one of the FM's they could simulcast WOC on 106.5 or 101.3 and put a sports station on 1420. Or possibly Cumulus could put an FM talker on 93.5 when those ratings come back in the crapper again.
Personaly I would like to see another Top 40, but since its probably never going to happen, would it be possible they would make this move thats happening in a lot of the bigger markets? What does everyone think?

ANY heritage AM talker w/ a co-owned FM that's having ratings problems should simulcast at least 5a-6p weekdays if not 24/7.

Especially with WOC's relatively low power 5 kW at 1420. OK maybe 20 or 30 years ago, but not now.

5KW on an AM = coverage of a 50,000 FM, although there are directional pattern issues and static involved with AM's. by the way 20 or 30 years ago NOBODY would have considered putting TALK on an FM station.

Static on AM, that's the whole point. Plus there are way more radios near computers/computer monitors now than 20 - 30 years ago.

I grew up listening to sky-wave and lightning crashes. There's another generation out there weaned on FM that isn't nearly as tolerant.

they can also listen to a web stream on line with no static while they are working or surfing.
