fm talk second wind

has anyone heard anything about an fm talk getting a second wind for the windy city?! i know there has been a "life after stern" fear-stigma, but an "eddie and jobo" and/or a stever, a kevin matthews, pete mcmurray, robert murphy....plus great talent that's ignored in other markets for the experimental shifts could pull this off....it still could very much work!

Talk formats have huge talent expenses. The cost of the Talent, Show Producers, and other staff really eats into the stations budget. These days its significantly cheaper to plug in a computer and voice track the station.

Only a company with deep pockets can afford to start up a 24/7 local, live talk format. There aren't many companies that meet that criteria these days.

This is why most of them carry satellite delivered formats.
