FM Talk

I've been an FM Talk fan since the O&A, Ron and Fez days at WNEW in N.Y. I've noticed that pretty much ALL of the FM Talk stations with the exception of NJ 101.5 hang around a 2.5 -1.5 12+. They must make money because they still exist and have for a while. Free-FM in Philly will probably end up in this 12+ range when the dust settles. From what I know these stations ONLY care about certain demographics to sell. In some cases FM Talkers can make good money for their company no matter what the 12+ numbers are. I do like Barsky and Kidd Chris on Free FM.Both entertaining yet diffrent from each other. After O&A on XM , I'll check out Free-fm in Philly and Free fm in N.Y. I agree with most people that DLR is unlistenable. Who they eventually replace him with is anyones guess at this point.BTW while checking out Barsky today, he had the GM on Peter[ last name escapes me] and he had kudos for Barsky and crew for doubling the ratings, for what it's worth. I know "salesguru" doubling a 1 share is no great feat...beat you to it. LOL.One more thing, do you think an all news station on FM would work in Philly?

HEY YOU!.....SShhhhh, KYW is enough of a ratings Monster on the AM, as if any broad shouldered Salesperson wants to compete against such a thing with all of the clarity and reach of FM frequencies. Please shut your yap before someone gets any ideas.

Real Radio 104.1 (WTKS) in Orlando Fl. hangs around a 4 share now. It used to be number 2 12+ almost every book until Stern left.
