FM Translators carrying an AM signal in NJ

WRNJ in Hackettstown which has had a pair of translators for years has turned off the WBGO simulcast and is now carrying the programming on WRNJ-1510 24 hours a day.

One translator in Oxford is @ 92.7...the other is in Budd Lake on 104.7. Drving east on 80 away from Budd Lake I expected interference from WSPK. But instead the interference was from what appears to be a carribean pirate!

That would be Fire 104.7 which broadcasts from Brooklyn. They have been on the air since early 2003. The FCC is sleeping big time.
