That's the KOIT/1260 transmitter on Candlestick Hill (Bayview Park), originally built by the Hearst Corporation for KYA:

If you're looking for transmitter locations, go to the FCC site (http://www.fcc.gov/mb/audio) or Radio Locator (http://www.radio-locator.com).

Thanks for the beatiful picture and the link. I have noticed in driving by that the Candlestick tower is no longer self-supporting and it is now a guyed tower. Are there any records as to what happened? Did the tower fall or start to lean? How long ago did this change happen if anyone knows?

The only stations I remember are KSJO and KSJS.

I remember seeing the old tower in pieces on the hillside after a big storm. I can't remember the exact date. Don't quote me but, somewhere between '88 & '93?
