FM100 picking up strong in Russelville, AR

anotherguy said:
During the Summer there are times when WWTN in Nashville blows out FM100 around Jackson and Dyersburg.

I grew up in Dyersburg and yeah very rarely you get the Nashvile Station over FM100. I always listened to FM100 over SL100 because they just sucked ;D. 102.5 "The Party" in Nashville picked up in Dyersburg and Jackson often. I remember once when Tom was still on the air at FM100 he got a caller in Paducah, KY on the Five o'clock flashback.

My sister claims to have picked up FM 100 as far east as Dickson, TN. I have never been able to pick them up east of the Tennessee River, but I once picked up 92.3 (from Jackson) as far as Dickson. But even that is rare for me.

The fact that FM100's signal made it as far as Dickson really isn't that surprising at all. Nashville FM is fairly common here (though, many are on congested frequencies -- 95.5 is my most commonly-heard). I heard the 100.3 serving Clarksville this morning, as a matter of fact.

It would be interesting, though, that FM100 was able to survive the co-channel onslaught of WWTN. But, when the band gets up, funny things can happen. In intense openings to the west, for instance, the Class A 95.7/WHAL will often get trounced by Little Rock.

That one isn't terribly surprising, either. 93.3/Paducah is quite common here in Germantown. And, a few days back, I was watching WPSD-DT (I think it's on 32 digital) here in full HD.
