FMDX.org webserver shutdown

Sad News for those who rely heavily on the FMDX.org servers, it has been announced from a person that the FMDX.org is shutdown, we dont have an confirmed date on the shutdown, but it will soon because i promoted the website to an server with an person who works for the FCC, it has been a long run as it was an base of my YouTube and Tiktok channel and how i started my DXing carrer here on YouTube and TikTok, my channel is fulled with these stations on the FMDX.org and even was/and still is interested in making my own server, hopefully it doesnt get shutdown so that i can make my webserver with it with the TEF66686 radio on Christmas if it does get shutdown, before Christmas then im not gonna buy the TEF6686 instead im gonna buy another HDR14, if it doesnt get shutdown then IM gonna make that FMDX.org server, if it does get shutdown, i know i will be sad to see it go, it was a good site while it lasts and i just want to mention @noobishaurydx1764 on YT and discord for this amazing project, my entire channel was just this site, i liked how i able to connect anywheres and be able to listen to stations and DX, thats how my DXing journey started, i liked this and i always wanted my own server, it was a good and only mobile site that i can listen to in the car, the bus, anywheres, its sad that its gonna be shutting down soon, and i know noobish and aury are gonna get mad at me for mentioning this to that person, but i just wanted to promote more servers to people, so this is fun while it last and it is fun to have it while it last, again i dont have an official date on this shutdown, but its not gonna be around for much longer and i have proof of it getting shutdown on my Youtube community post Post from ChicopeeRadio2009 so have it while it lasts.

I'm trying to decipher your message.
Are we losing the FM DX webserver entirely? Including the Bermuda, Ohio, Montreal, etc. SDRs? If that's the case this will be a terrible loss. We'll have no way to DX remotely from other receivers during east coast Es.

Makes sense, thank you. I hope the FMDX.org site will remain operational into 2026. Many of us enjoy the remote receivers...especially the Bermuda one! That is a DX paradise. Has been an honor to work several Es openings there this summer, ranging from Quebec to Indiana and even into MS/LA on long-hop.

📻 😅 Well it Seems that FMDX.org website and it's servers - appear to be Fully Functional and Available for Listening, Seems Good As Usual - So Far This Morning, and I notice a new FM Server Option Was Recently Added to the map, in Southest Virginia, Norfolk & Virginia Beach 📻 Local Area Radio Dial is available for listening, and so far I haven't noticed any issues - it sounds great, and its very nice to listen to this morning.

I believe it's time to step in.

As the founder of FMDX.org I can assure everyone that FMDX.org isn't going anywhere, AND thr FCC doesn't have any power over us, as we are not based in the United States.

On top of that:
FM-DX Webserver is open-source and self-hosted, therefore each individual server owner is responsible for their own servers.
Under the classification of the FCC and similar authorities, this is considered as private use, as the intended use is controlling the receiver (even if your server is listed on the maps).

As a matter of fact, we are planning a tunneling server in the US, so people can enjoy lower latencies and higher server stability.

I'll be happy to see your server on the maps! 😊

Thanks to you and all the tuner owners! It's great to DX from all over the world, and if you're space-limited it's a lifesaver.
