FMQB 2009 Year End Dance Charts are up

Since I do not think it is really worth it or sensible to open up an entirely new thread for the topic I'm about to present, in this section, especially in the decade we're currently closing, I'll just introduce it here.

QUESTION IS: Shall we reflect on the year, or the decade?
(find more in depth example of what I mean here: http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?topic=159299.0)

Despite the fact that when it comes to dance, it is probably by far more sensible to reflect on the year than the decade, I thought I'd just ask anyway, since you never know what other ideas or point of views people may have. I think reflecting on this decade would be perfect for the hip hop community (and maybe also reggaeton to some degree), but the year 2009 itself is good for looking at the return and future success possibilities of dance in the U.S.

Maybe, due to the gap between two generations in mainstream dance music attention, we should just forget reflecting on an entire decade of dance and all that has happened 2000-2009, and just look forward to starting fresh with new ideas. There is such a big gap that people are hearing this "whole new generation of sound" modern dance sound and thinking it's some new "futuristic" stuff! How else do you think I could get away with saying "whole new generation of sound" all year for modernized old school beats without anyone seeing anything wrong with it? Reflecting on this year is fine, since this has been a great year to set the stage for the 2010 and beyond dance sound, but I wouldn't say this has been a great DECADE for dance in the U.S. That's just my thoughts.
