Don Fogel Starts March 1 as the new morning man at True Oldies WLS FM
What The......! i would have thought they might pick someone who had "actually" worked in this format before. it appears he's a "Lite Rock guy" from KC.Dr Wayne said:Don Fogel Starts March 1 as the new morning man at True Oldies WLS FM
once upon a time those call letters WLS, stood for something... great programming and EXCEPTIONAL air TALENT.Neil Millman said:When anyone thinks of "oldies" and 'Chicago" and "WLS" the first name that comes to mind is Dave Fogel. </sarcasm> He was probably the cheapest option available.

given THIS "illogical" decision (yes, i know its not a real word, but appropriate) Fred Winston would have been a MUCH better choice, although i can't believe there wasn't someone out there doing the format, with experience, outside of Lake Co. that would have been a better pick than Fogel.radioman148 said:You are right on Spot. My first choice of Fred Winston in the mornings, even though I know you didn't agree, would have been alot better than Fogel. Fred probably wanted to get paid and as you said do a little more than read liner cards every 20 minutes.
