Was in the Christiana mall today with my trusty Grundig HD set. WDSD was really strong on all 3 HD's, I was surprised at their Classic Country HD-2, which they call Foggy Mountain. It sounded great, fantastic Classic cuts and jocks who knew the music, also there was traffic, weather and news here and there. For an HD-2 they were close to main signals with their personality. Is F.M. a trademark of CC and if so, why doesn't CC put this format on one of their Philly HD-2's, instead of the logjammed Urban/Hispanic formats on all their properties, except for 104.5, All but one of their HD-2's are some sort of Urban and 106.1 HD-2 is s simulcast of 1480, what the heck. It looks like XTU won't do Country Classics although they should, so why not put Foggy on one of CC properties in the market. On another note, RDX had a Rock oriented format on their HD-2, not the same as RFF, and I did receive all 97.9 HD's which is a great catch for being over 60 miles away, I guess Hearst is committed to HD's in regards to power, never knew HD-2's can travel that far.
