Folks who are "LIFERS"

That was an interesting last post... now what about the folks that are good enough to leave Memphis and go onto bigger markets but will be here FOREVER!

Tom Prestigiacamo FM 100- Lifer says it all you old bastard!

Sydney 93X- She isnt gonna leave. She enjoys making my life hell. lol

Argo 94.1- Cant see him or Dana leaving.

Im sure there are plenty of other Memphis "lifers" out there, just cant think of em off the top of my head.

Question:

Do you guys consider those that have chosen to stay in the market rather than move "Up" as less talented, or just happy in the market?

Great question! I started at FM100, moved to New Orleans, came back to Memphis to work at Rock103, moved to LA (okay by way of the armpit of America Des Moines), then Las Vegas and back to Memphis to work at WRVR and the Pig. Does that make me more talented than some of the Memphis talent? Drake? Zeke? Ron? Tom? Rob? I think all those people are more talented. If I was smart enough to stay put maybe I would be among the "Legends" we were talking about earlier. As it is I don't have a radio job now, just opinions! Anyone looking for part time air talent? I think the talented people here in Memphis are here by choice, I think they are happy in the market. God knows people like Tim Spencer, Leslie Wolf, D&Z, Tom and Ron could go anywhere in the country if they wanted to, they just don't because they like it here.
______________

Comments are much appreciated. Truth be known, this is the best station I've ever worked for and I'm *happy* here. Tired, but happy. And that statement ain't for the bosses benefit.

I posted this before but apparently it wasn't me who was logged in... oops.
______________
