So, he started today on WIOD from 9am-noon. Did anyone listen? Does anyone care?

Word is he has a huge production staff. Does it show?
 
Quite possibly the MOST painful three hours in the history of radio. He is just plain, NOT GOOD! There is a reason he was a sidekick for 98 years. He cant carry a show on his own and couldn't interview his way out of a brown paper bag.

I listened for about 5 minutes today & really couldn't tolerate much more. I thought the guy was GREAT onthe FM Dial.
 
I was told that, on his first day, the station went off the air at least twice. Gotta feel sorry for him.

Bottom line: it's not a ratings winner by any means, but it will bring in lots of $$. He's been around and is very well connected. Watch for all the live reads, too. Clients will be happy.

But the alternatives are: Stephanie Miller on 940. Dr Laura on 850. Mancow & Dennis Miller on 640. Paul & Young Ron on 105.9 (what time is their show over?)
