I know most of you are aware of this helpful info, already but for those that are still clueless about DTV, thought I'd pass it along to you.

Discovered this very educational web site, while listening to my local newscast, a few minutes ago.

P.S. I'm currently with Direct TV but they don't offer the Montgomery Alabama area channels for some unknown reason. (Wish I knew why.) Hope they'll add them on, before the switch occurs.  Had many issues with Dish Network and Chater Cable and have no intentions of doing business with either outfit, in the forseeable future.
 
Even though the site is an official website of the NAB, I have to wonder about their accuracy, as they state in their commercials that by law, all television will go digital on Feb. 17, 2009. Not exactly. All full-service stations will, but LPTV will be able to continue in analog until the FCC or Congress decides to set a cut-off date for those stations as well. It seems that the website completely ignores LPTV. They also fail to sufficiently emphasize that cable or satellite subscribers will not change and don't need a converter. That info is kinda buried.

I can see people coming away from the website misinformed rather than educated.
 
How do they expect the public to understand the switchover when the industry doesn't ?
