My guess would be
WGVA
WSFW
WAUB
WCGR
WFLR
WFLR-FM
WLLW-FM + one Ithaca Translator
WNYR-FM + one Auburn Translator and one Penn Yan Translator

That would be 8 stations, and 3 translators.

I do not think they are for sale, per se, but that George might be selling out his interest in the stations. Alan Bishop is his partner for these stations.

I found this listing also on the net....

This is a rare opportunity to purchase a cluster of 9 radio stations in 2 different communities in upstate New York. The area is one of the most beautiful summer resorts in America. One of the absentee owners is 65 and wants to retire. Existing management will stay if desired. The group is profitable and extremely well established. Broadcast cash flow is in excess of $500,000 a year. The stations are available at the accepted broadcast multiple of 12x. Significant real estate is included in the price. There is tremendous growth in the area, and it is very likely that these stations will be worh much, much more in the next 5 years.

Could be the same listing, but it has some search terms for Thousand Islands.

Nice, Timmy.

Galaxy? Really?

What, you think Ed's gonna sell the stations that actually MAKE money, and keep the ones in Albany that DON'T?

You also think that the cash flow for his Syracuse properties is only $500,000/year, or about $60,000 per station? OK, so he has some winners and some losers, but TK by itself should have at least that much in cash flow. Remember, we're not talking profit here, but income vs. outgo.

This sounds to me like numbers from a much smaller market. The $6.5m selling price is way too low for Syracuse.

You guys are barking up the wrong tree. The post about he Finger Lakes stations
was right. George kimball and his partner just sold their station in Brockport (Rochester), unfortunatly, to a religious group.

Everyone is focused too far south! The earth doesn't end in Syracuse in spite of what people think. :)

I have the answer

Thanks for the hint. It's probably the Martz Communications/Seaway Broadcasting group in the north-country (St. Lawrence region). They have exactly nine stations.

1340-WMSA
96.1 WVLF
94.7 WYUL
96.5 WVNV
1490 WICY
102.9 WNCQ
98.7 WPAC
96.7 WYSX
101.5 WRCD

I HAVE IT!

BW, is it Brian Hoffers, 9 internet radio stations. And by cash flow, he means a thriving "decorative shovel" NTR business.

Ammendment

While the Brockport station was sold to KLOVE, it likely is not the Finger Lakes Stations. I have been informed they are likely not on the block.

Actually I think the pickle is correct. There are two other possibilities, Regent, but they only have 4 stations. Clancy-Mance, if you count the translators then it could be them, but it's no secret that Clancy-Mance has been pitching the stations for the last few years with no takers. Pickle may be right on target with this one.
