If you're waiting on RO in Dallas to make any other moves......they're not. RO hopes to sale by the end of the year. The format tweak on 94.5 was only a move to keep the share holders happy until Magic Johnson, Cumulus, Liberman, or Service gets the right price. The Skip Murphy & Company announcement was just a stunt to help launch the new format on KSOC last Friday. I spoke with someone in Texas who's close the those guys and they're happy with their internet show. Not to mention, RO has no money to pay them. Skip and those guys we're making close to a million a year a piece a few years ago. I doubt they will do afternoons for 50K a piece (if that much) and RO is trimming their fat so the new buyer will jump on board. Look for KBFB to dump Ricky Smiley by mid-September because most of his base salary comes from the Dallas market. Dallas had a good urban war for a few years, but it looks like its slowly coming to an end.

As a stunt. For someone who posts on every board on the site your lack of knowledge on the Murphy in Chicago situation is odd.
 
magic johnson bought a multi family building here. Unless he is turning it into a retirement community and buying 94.5 to broadcast liner cards and birthday wishes to the retirees. Well then...ah...NO!

Nah, Race Music is like "409," "Little Deuce Coupe," "Little Old Lady from Pasadena," etc. Right?
