For those interested in jingles ....

Some of you may remember Ken R use to produce custom resings of the famous PAMS jingles until he closed his studios in 2000.

Ken R also produced some wacky offbeat versions of PAMS jingles for Dan O'Day, a guy who specializes in selling stuff to radio pros. I got some links to get his "Dork-a-pella" series - PAMS resings with a little edge and sarcastic wit.

I mention this as I also collect this type of stuff but I'm currently in my annual budget crunch, so I hope someone else may be able to make use of this.

If you get these let me know what you think. I've heard the previews and a few odd pieces floating around the net and I think they're interesting.

You casn buy one and get one free - here's what you need to know:

One of these days I'll catalog my jingles and aircheck collections for those of you who like to trade.

Maybe Howard Stern can use them on satellite. They are kind of up his alley. Or perhaps gutter is the right term.

Though I think the jingles are in bad taste, I defend the right of radio stations to play them. I am for Free Speech.

Well, I would say a small fraction of them are "cute" and most of the others are a little on the harsh side. I wanted to use a handful of them since they were sung by the same singers as my main jingle package, but O'Day thinks people are really gonna tape them off a 64k internet stream and use them all over the place. Talk about being paranoid! I've never had any problems with other, although bigger name producers (TM Century, etc) allowing me to use their stuff online. It's too bad, cause he has a handful of other stuff that's almost worth using. Of course, he may be protective of them because they're flying off the shelves faster than he can fill his orders (end sarcasm).
