For those with a myfi I got a question...

Has anyone tried listening to it while in the car with the built in antenna? How well does it work? The reason why i'm asking is if I did happen to go to one of these services with in time, I want a portable unit, but I dont want to half to run wires all over the place in my truck. And I also wanted to take it along in other cars as well.

The Built in antenna doesnt get too much reception you will more than likely need the antenna that comes with the myfi.

You won't get anything. The internal antenna with no clip-on only works well in Major Metropolitan Cities. I live in the NYC suburbs and I will only get decent reception "on the go" with the clip antenna.

What works for me is to use the "home antenna" in cars I go in and out of. I just throw it up on the dashboard, and it works like a charm.

It all depends on the repeater situation. Even that you'll still need the antenna by the window pane to get clear reception. Or you'll need to face the south with the built in antenna.
