I honestly don't remember my parents banning any Tv shows for me and my brother, BUT that was back in the 50s and first half of the 60s. Us kids were allowed to watch anything inthe afternoon--I fondly remember American Bandstand, Highway Patrol, Whirlybirds, Seahunt, and of course Superman. But at night, the adults controlled the TV dial, all 3 channels. We all loved 77 Sunset Strip, Hawian Eye, Surfside 6, Have Gun Will Travel, The Rifleman, The Donna Read Show, and of course, Leave It to Beaver, all of which we watched as a complete family. When I was in high school, we all still gathered around as a family to watch Batman, Mannix, and, dare I admit, The Beverly Hillbillies. It all seems so wonderful to remeber it now....
