forget Hits 94. what's up with 'ZTK?

Rumble has Curtis making a move to "classic top 40" (current speak for
"oldies"?) at 101.1. Goatboy(BW), updating your resume might be a better
use of your time.

Interesting. That goes along with what Z-Man was saying. Maybe there's something to the rumor. Heard Curtis was buying WSJS. Wonder how long we'll have to wait for confirmation?

Man! That leaves plenty of room for 94.1 to do it first. Wonder if they can or would move that fast? Will be intresting to see who actually does it. With all the rumors flying on this board, it's bound to really happen. Too bad everyone waited until the listening habits settled down after 93.1 switched.

and stvok2,

WTF is (BW)?

r u trying 2 out me...am i supposed to be bill whitley or brit whitmyer? or maybe it's bruce wheeler at dick?

back to the drawing board on all 3, perry mason

Hitz will NOT be flipping to Oldies...trust me!

Didn't I say just that over a week ago? You DO have a source!

My source at CMG tells me that they're letting the ZTK airstakk know tomorrow (11/10)

I guess I'm the *ONLY* person on this board who will mis WZTK If it does in fact go. Sad, really. ZTK was different and original, yet nobody seems to care. Given all the over-dramatic cries of how "cookie cutter" radio is today, I'd expect that someone would have had a passing respect for WZTK's attempts. But, this is radio. What can anyone expect?

ZTK was all over the place with "rip and read" news NO promotion. the only reason they didn't put a bullet in it sooner was 2 get the $ from political ads

the stunting begins on tuesday with a countdown clock that will end on thursday (i don't really have to explain the thursday thing on this board, do i?)

at 5:01 pm on thursday

Z101.1 will be born

first song" "Start Me Up"

then the 1st hour goes like this

"Rockin' Down the Highway" by the Doobie Brothers
"Good Times" by Chic
"My Sharona" by the Knack
"Thunder Island" by Jay Ferguson
"Brother Louie" by the Stories
"Fresh Air" by Quicksilver Messenger Service
"Ah Leah" by Donnie Iris and the Cruzados
"Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen
"For You" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band
"Do Ya" by the Electric Light Orchestra
"Tell Me Somethin' Good" by Chaka Khan
"Christine Sixteen" by KISS

they're doing the "1,000 in a row" thing with caller 1,000 after the 1,000th song getting 1,000 dollars

pat patterson is am drive and they are heavily courting blade for afternoons

of course, all this is subject to change now that i have put it on the web, but that's the deal...

oh, and they're calling it "real oldies" or something similar

no motown or 60's stuff, so no need 2 adjust 102.9

It all sounds interesting, however if they continue the attempt at serving two markets, it will end up with the same result as they had with country and n-t.

Great idea about the morning guys moving to SJS in afternoons! How long would Brad sit still for the infomercial hour?

Next Thursday, Curtis media has some kind of hospital drive going on from six in the morning until six in the evening.

Why do I feel [and hope] that these rumors are just a bunch of bull?

And, If it's true, what happens next monday? Are Brad and Britt still up, or are they out tomorrow? Monday starts a new workweek for ZTK--assuming they "were" to flip, it would make sense to do it after the jazz weekend.

My-my, Dittohead1! Aren't we informed! Thanks for sharing. Doesn't leave much to speculation, now. I would say with Hits covering WS and Charlotte, and ZTK covering GSO and Raleigh, we've practically got state-wide Oldies. Amazing. Who's going to run this conglomerate?
