I just thought that you folks might be interested to know that 1340 WHAT has changed formats once again. The city has a standards station again. I had 1340 on last night and they are billing themselves as "Martini lounge radio". The airchecks say its for baby boomers ages 40-50. They have dropped they blues format and have that only on the website. They were playing all Sinatra when I had them on, and were advertizing music from artists such as Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. Only thing is, the signal is horrible!

Check page 2 and you will see we had a thread on this Sept. 3rd.
Yeah and The Radio Racket interviewed the owner of WHAT on August 31 about te change. For most of September it's gonna be just Sinatra. They also turned off their IBOC. Later on they plan on streaming the station online and bringing in DJs, but for now it's all automated and just on 1340 AM.
