Format Change Coming To Dallas

Just caught wind that a certain FM station in the DFW area is switching formats to Talk.
However, I haven't been told what station or Frequency. And have been instructed not to tell who owns it either.

Heard the expected switch Date is October 1st.
 
Let the guessing begin!
Contract's are currently going under the signing process.
So if nothing goes wrong, the launch date should be October 1st.
 
So by talk, you mean actually talk radio, not sports or some other spoken word format?

Can you say if this owner has full market signals from Cedar Hill?
 
If that's accurate that would eliminate any of the Clear Channel stations. Citadel is also out.

Is Cumulus already giving up i93?

Could it be that KSKY and KWRD are switching places?

Is Mega getting blown up for a 1080 simulcast? (Although 107.5 really is a full market signal.)

107.5 is also on Cedar Hill which nixes the prospect that it's the station flipping.
 
My guess is that 105.3 The Fan flips to 105.3 KRLD-FM.
 
I bet is it KSOC 94.5 to urban talk. Might be a station on the Salem tower east of Collinsville, Tx. Dan the man THE NORTH TEXAS RADIO MAN!!
 
KWRD could not be on AM and keep the KWRD call letters because of KWRD in Henderson Texas. Interesting that another Talk station will be on FM. I would not look to Salem for changes. I don't see them blowing up KWRD either

What station are you talking about? I think it's all BS to me.

The Fan seems like the obvious choice since their ratings stink & they were a talk station before they flipped. I guess we'll have to wait & see?
