Format change coming to WTJS 93.1 in Alamo/Jackson?

According to Wikipedia they have apparently changed back to News Talk and are going by News Talk West Tennessee. I thought they were still doing music unless they're using is as filler like they've done before.

ANY music format, even if it's something I don't like personally would be better than News Talk on 4 FM frequencies in the Jackson area! (n)
I believe they're actually doing Salem's 'Today's Christian Music' format with maybe some local shows scattered in. At least that's according to their website. I hope this link works.

Of course, I don't know how well their signal is getting out beyond Jackson, since they're still under that STA.

I checked the website and you're correct, but they've had a tendency of not updating it in the past, so I don't know how current it is.

I just checked on the radio and they still had TCM on, but the N/T may be on weekdays, or is it possible the change is coming?

I'm not sure. The website was the most current thing I could find, but you're right about them not staying on top of things. Their FB page for 93.1 is full of WNWS content, and this being Grace, I'm not sure what they are doing or intend to do. I agree with you that there is way too much Talk in Jackson, but I guess some broadcasters go with it since it's cheaper to produce, and with the current political climate, will pull in some dollars. The only hope I have is that sooner or later someone can shake a few stations loose and try something, ANYTHING, new and innovative.

It's been over a month now and there still hasn't been any format change. Hopefully Grace has backed out of the idea of making 93.1 news talk again. But then once I say this who knows they may change but I hope not.

Over the weekend and part of Monday WTJS was transmitting dead air. Yesterday they were back on for a while with both talk from Salem and also the Christmas music feed overlapping before going back to Christmas music. I just hope this doesn't mean they're going back to talk after Christmas. West TN doesn't need another FM News/Talk station, especially on 93.1 again.

The flip back to News/Talk on 93.1 finally happened on Monday and they're going by Supertalk. Jackson does NOT need another FM N/T station!

This is a direct response to the threat they feel from Dan Reaves, and the sheer fact that they were forced to buy one profitable FM (WNWS) and since they couldn't program anything else worth listening to, they double down on Talk thinking they'll attract more ears.

I think that this may have been planned for a while but they waited until all their technical problems were fixed and they were off the STA they had been on.
