That does make sense. They have done it in Indy. They would give KISS a run maybe. They would have to stay main stream Top 40 and not go to Rythmic.

I agree. If they did go CHR, I think they would have to model the music like Cumulus does with KRBE Houston or Q100 Atlanta. Mainstream CHR with a slight adult lean. Cumulus could go after two Clearchannel stations with a format like that, targeting the upper demos of Kiss and lower demos of Mix.

But would could they possibly do to compete with Kidd Kraddick in AM?

Can we please get the ticket on 93.3. I am tired of losing signal once I pass The Bush turnpike. Great station, but I would rather listen to The Fan instead of trying to filter thorugh all the static.

I Know!

Simulcast of The Ticket...bank on it!! Been a rumor forever but it's gonna happen for all you Ticketheads

Hopefully they would be smart enough to do a local morning show but if not I can see them simulcasting The Bert Show from Q100 in ATL. He started with Kraddick right?

That won't happen.

Ok Chalie...let's lay a bet on it!

How about lunch...if it doesn't happen I send you a restaurant gift card of your choice. It does happen...well, you get the idea. I

I am confident ;)

Shazam! I've got it... They are moving KLIF (talk) to FM and putting Russ Martin on in between Glenn Beck and Dave Ramsey. ;-)

The Bert Show from Q100/Atlanta crossed my mind, too. Yeah, I think he was with Kraddick back in the mid 90s.

Philpot at the Star-Telegram told me it won't happen.

The blunders made by FM 93.3...

1) Horrible audio quality. Sounds like low bit rate MP3 that is then streamed. Raspy with garbled vocals.
The display is out my car stereo but I can tune 93.3 by finding the worst audio. No better in HD.

2) Out-of-town morning show that is not relevant to format.

3) Loaded with commercials for products such as strip clubs, sexual performance enhancement, tattoo parlors, credit debt services.

4) No promotion.

5) Kept KDBN call letters.

6) Signal doesn't act like 50KW. Analog multipath and can't maintain HD lock in the car in FORT WORTH.

7) Did I say bad audio.

As much as I wanted them to succeed with quasi-AAA, it wasn't going to happen with the issues above. Let's see if 91.7 does AAA right.

It seems to me that CHR is the new 93.3... I93 perhaps?

Their stunting "around" the legends. at the bottom of the hour is their CHR bit...their goal is to throw you off with the "legends" bit. Also the chick that is doing most of the talking is the same VO girl that is on the other Cumulus "I" CHR stations.

They may be making a decent move after all.

That's a possibilty right there.
