Historically on this board on April 1st people like to post fake format change notices, so, if you haven't seen this on the Lehigh Valley board, WFBK, Frank 107.5 in Boyertown, is changing back AGAIN to a religious format as WBYN-FM on April 1st - it has been officially announced by owner WDAC in Lancaster and was in the Reading Eagle today. 107.5 is strong in Montgomery & Bucks counties. You'll remember they were WBYO from sign on in 1960 until 1989, when they went to Soft AC after 'promising' the old owner Dave Hendricks that they'd stay in a religious format. WYCL lasted about a year and a half, then WDAC bought it and returned it to a Christian format in 1991 as WBYN (WBYO was taken in the meantime by Sellersville's 88.9). A few years back WDAC supprisingly formed an LMA with Nassau and they turned it into classic hits Frank FM, with the WBYN programming moved to 1160 in Lehighton (not listenable in the primary 107.5 coverage area). Now the sale to Nassau that was supposed to happen in 2005 never happened and WDAC will revert to the WBYN format again. (The only thing missing is former owner Dave Hendricks, who returned in 1991 but passed away this January). So, for the 3rd time, 107.5 becomes a Christian format (mostly brokered shows) - maybe as "107-5 Alive" again? - and the only Nassau classic rock left nearby is 99.9 the Hawk out of Easton.
So if someone posts this as an April Fool's joke...
