FORMAT CHANGES TO COME

The River 1049 to become Rock 105; Dave levora to be PD

Ryan Wild to be live Middays on B100 and also to be PD at 97 Rock

Pippa out until further notice

Steve Donovan is doing weekends only on Star 93.5

Seriously.

And what is the point of competing Rock stations with the other rock station in town? They already dumped 97X to do 97Rock because the two stations were fighting each other. While 1049 is a ratings loser as compared to WLLR, it surprises me they don't want to cut into WLLR a bit more. Just curious.

It will be interesting to see what direction 97Rock goes in. When I heard about the changes, I was hoping Cumulus would try a more creative format than just adding another rock station. It would be nice to see a radio company take a risk.

Press conference scheduled for tomorrow at 3p.m. at the Rock N Roll Mansion
1229 Brady Street Davenport, IA

this is what I think will happen. 97Rock will become 97X with a straight AOR format and will air old D&M shows from when they were at 97X in the early days till they make their return there in June...Rock 104.9 will happen as a New Rock station with Dave and Darrin in the morning at Rock 104.9! Any thoughts?

you know on second thought, not sure if they can get away with Arinig old D&M stuff, it is their likeness being used and the name as well!?!?!??!

96.9 is going to be 97X again starting March 12. It was in the morning papers this morning. It was described as being a "Classic Hits" format. The River's morning person is supposed to become the afternoon person on 97X. The entire staff of 97 Rock will now be on 104.9. It said 96.9 and 104.9 are going to simulcast from March 5 through March 11. If they're putting Steve Donovan on weekends only on Star 93.5 I wonder if they're not saving him to do mid-days on 97X in the near future. Because it's kind of odd to see someone willing to be demoted from full-time to weekends.

Does this mean that Dwyer and Michaels will be on the new 105 this summer, or will they be on the new 97X?
