Format Flip of Eagle 106.7 to True Oldies Posted

It may be posted.. But what a boring flip... Not a dramatic moment anywhere. Just out of a nascar show then dead air, and into Revolution... Wouldn't you at least expect something said before the flip, like " Thanks for listening to Eagle 106 for xx yrs? Or anything... The new format sounds wonderful, but what a BORING flip.... :'(

I am loving every minute of it.

YAY..... ;D

I'm still waiting for them to play something I don't have yet. I spent thousands on CD's and at iTunes the past 3 years after Cool flipped to Spanish so I've got over 1200 songs from the 60's, 1500 from the 70's, about 1000 from the 80's and 600 from the 50's.

Now the important question ... did you do like me and clink your champange glass to your radio when the first oldie started playing? ;D

I think this is the most stupid move Citdal could make. What is the deal with making it Imus in the morning and then going Oldies all day long? Doesn't make sense. They should have gone with a true FM talk, but a little tamer. They could have opened with Imus. Eventually pressured Sean to leave WSB and probably grabbed Rush. Put in some local talent, something like Arum towards the evening and you have a pretty good lineup and a pretty good competition to WSB.

An FM Talker is the only thing that could compete with WSB. It won't be too long before GST and GKA go Spanish - they just can't compete with WSB's signal.

Like I said above it is a waste of time, and listeners today get tired and sick of constant stunting of a few songs or tryring to mind fu:: your brain.

It was not the best flip, but was intended to be what they want to do. Really it sounds great, and I think it can appeal to many age groups.

I was VERY disappointed in the flip but considering it's Citadel and they're one step away from bankruptcy I'm not surprised.

Who's give's a flip about a flip anyway? That's old radio in the first place. The bottom line is OLDIES are back and a damn good mix too. The station sounds good and Imus is good for the format and fun to listen too. You wanted change and you got it. A lot of hard work went into the change and hat's off to all involved at the station. I'm proud to be associated with such professional's. :D

The station is not local enough.
There's a whole internet of music out there. Why tune into true oldies? They clearly don't care about your town any more than the millions of options on the internet for oldies music.

They can't even be bothered with a local morning show.
That should say something!
