(Dallas) KDMX "Mix 102.9" will under go a format change this weekend saturday 12 noon to "The ORIGINAL Classic Hits".The "Original"Classic Hits will feature such artists as Ludwig Von Beethoven,Amadeus Mozart,Johnan Strauss among many in the endless library of "Hits"through the centuries"said a Clear Channel Spokesperson. The new logo will be "The Baton". "We are excited to be bringing this format to North Texas and feel that we will be reaching an often ignored segment of Dallas - Fort Worth" Our research has showed that residents of the Park Cities,North Dallas,Plano and The Colony don't feel they have a radio station they could call their own"."Ever since KERA decided to forgo Classical Music,the area has suffered a cultural drought,and WRR has not met this challenge."'The Baton" will swing into action on saturday so that we may have a wider introduction to our audience that we seek". Kicking off the format will be a live concert from Brussels, Belguim with American Born Composer and Conductor John Williams leading the Amersterdam Philharmonic from Nato Headquarters"."We will also be sponsoring the "Best of Texas" featuring The University of North Texas school of Music and Texas Christian University's Chamber orchestra at both the Myerson in Dallas and the Bass Performance Hall in Ft.Worth for the upcoming weeks"."We are excited about this new bold approach to the classics and we hope North Texas will agree with us"
