format flip soon

Thats a big BS flag....

If they were to change format..No way would they keep the same friggin K that's in the K-Rock logo.

and does anybody use YOUNG and HOT to describe their country format anymore? It was needed in the early mid 90's to intro the format to a younger audience. 10-15 years later Country is known to be hip, look at the Kenny Chesney Tour. Sammy Hagar is an OPENER on the bill. 15 years ago Hagar was selling out stadiums as the headliner.

Nice try.

Boy Baylor, your peers think the world of you.

Now, "I can tell you my PERCEPTION of John Baylor, which is, of course, not his real name, but a simple psudonym that a 6 month old chimp could come up with: He's a bitter jerk. A nasty, hateful, lying beast.

He runs into walls and falls off of curbs because his head is permanently interred in his colon.

Just remember, if he was good enough to be on the air, he wouldn't have the time to post that crap.

You make quite the impression. Keep up the good work.

Nice try.

It's not really the same K first of all. Why wouldn't they keep the "K" moniker? Works for K105 in Youngstown. K92 in Orlando. They'd probably keep the WKRK calls, makes sense.

As for the lean of Country, they WOULD have to provide a different approach to it than what WGAR presents; they totally pander to the 25-54 end of the demo (with a sizeable chunk of their playlist devoted to Gold titles)

A more young-end leaning Country that is more current-based makes the most sense. And after K-Rock's complete tailspin in the Winter book post-Rover, a format change certainly doesn't seem out of the question, it seems highly likely...

Check All Access' job section (Country, Cleveland)

..which was posted by a "Symon42" on AllAccess - the same name of the person that started this very thread.

What's up with that?

complete and total crap.

We shall see... Memorial Day is coming very soon... 92.3 flipped to rock on that same weekend back in 2001... I'm just saying. Oh, and I really know nothing about this, if anyone really cared. ;)

Oh really?? And what "stadiums" are you referring to? That 'stadium' at Firestone Park? Or were you referring to a chain of bar and grilles called "Stadiums"?

Do you really take such pride in sounding this clueless on a regular basis? It's comments like yours that make me believe this is the Canton's version of the Listening Party forum. ::)

If you believe this, you're probably from Cleveland.
That logo is so amatuer. All this person is going to accomplish is getting all the Country DJ's out there disappointed.
I may not be in the biz, but if you even slightly believed this, than you probably aren't either. And if you are...it's not anywhere of importance.

The add may be the blind box type add posted that doesn't tell the City just - Big Company Big Money Big Opportunity. Possibly the same poeple looking as the blindbox on R&R. [email protected] was the reply address.

Elyria-Lorain does a better job with the logo for WKFM/96.1, aka "K96" ... I realized this when driving home earlier today, and saw a "K96" decal on an old Ford truck, and noticed the similarity.

I don't see a job posting for a Cleveland country gig.

Because there is no such job. Not nice Symon42, give all those poor kids (and Gary) at OCB hope that there is an open gig in Cleveland. What is the point of starting such rumors? Not sure where the post went (if it existed at all) but someone at CBS must have had it pulled, it is the right thing to do. Not cool dude.

Honestly the kids at OCB shouldn't be looking to Cleveland to be their first full-time gig, anyway. Are they taught the meaning of working their way up the ladder (i.e. moving around and cutting your teeth in the minors) over there?

CBS would be smart to launch a country station on 92.3 though!

unfortunately, some do, not wanting to leave the area. i would hope they are being steered correctly. but that was just a statement to show the severity of rumors, breaking young broadcasters hearts. its like the whole easter bunny/santa claus thing. just making an example, not trying to get us off the subject...speaking of which...has anyone else noticed Symon42 has never put in another 2 cents, just letting us talk it up?? Hmmm, I think he got what he wanted :p
