Is is true that I hurrd that WMAG and WJMH and WCOG are going to trimulcast True Oldies Channel 24/7?
Except for Mike Harvey and Tom Kent and some 70s AT40s on the weekend?
And of course, Rod Davis gets his pick of shifts.
They're going to go with a complicated system of differentiated imaging for the stations since they're owned by different companies, and they thought it best that way. 99.5 is going to use a hot, sexy female voice to get their male numbers up. And 102.1 is going to use some countrified imaging left over from their BIG 102 days to draw listeners from "Reidsville, King, Clemmons, Browns Summit, Gibsonville, Parts Unknown, and The Outlying Rural Areas" [that's going to be added to their TOH ID]. 1320 is going to use Radio Disney's imaging services for their imaging, so they don't lose any traction on the 0-12 listener numbers. Kids will stick around through the oldies for the Brian O'Brian outtakes.

Just for spite, they're going to call them 99.5 The Gig, 102.1 The Gig, they've got the Gig service mark in NC, and they're talking about having the Gig who lacks a service mark to get his business cards reprinted. Just for spite. 1320 is going to go with Good Times and Great Oldies--1320 WCOG Part of Scott Shannon's True Oldies Network, if they can cram all that in before the tones cut them off. Engineers are working on the details. It may involve some level of TiVo or something.
