Format / ownership changes in Gadsden

A contributor to my site e-mailed me a little while ago and mentioned that the owners of WGAD in Gadsden bought WJBY in Rainbow City. It appears the WGAD calls have been moved to 930, along with the oldies. 1350 has become WJBY, with sports as "The Winner". It appears this change happened in early June.

According to this thread at the Gadsden Times' website, the owners of WGAD said there wasn't any money in religious programming, hence the flip. Somehow I think this was a sezied opportunity due to WJOX's programming moving to FM. ::)
