After careful thinking I wonder what kind of format the new Wzmr will be????Will it be hot talk, Jack, triple a ,urban, or even another rock station???? any special scenarios here any info would be great????

When is the change taking place????I hope they dont go with this all weekend....that would be a major buzz kill to the beginning of a new format,will the new format start this afternoon or at midnight....anybody got a clue here???I know there is an abc employee who has the info but doesnt want to spill the beans!!!

Who knows? Sometimes these things can go for DAYS! Or they can switch to All-Christmas or All-Elvis for a time before rolling out new format....it's all designed for maximum buzz/annoyance

I didn't get wind of any job postings for a new format-not that I would care much about ABC-, did anyone else?

So if they have a Live, local airstaff in place...where'd they get em? In house?

In May 2005, there was posts on this board about WZMR 104.9 going to the Jack format. Nothing materialized out of it, but 2 weeks later Infinity flipped the legendary WCBSFM to it. I know Pamal owns WZMR not Infinity, but that is how I remember that part since my favorite station turned to that format not long after that. I checked out 104.9 10 mins ago, it is very irritating what they have on it now. Phone's ringing constantly & phony operators, sickening. I hope the format change takes place today & hopefully it is a good one. I seen posts on this board early today & in the past about a Dance format like WKTU 1035 in New York has should be the new format. I have to agree. We have way to many Rock station's here, we do not need anymore. No to talk radio since WGY does a great job of that, plus you can listen to talk online from other station's plus its boring. Triple A, nope, no more rock. Urban, we have 2 stations for that now Kiss & Jamz we don't need a 3rd. Dance with 70s & 80s Disco & today's dance hit's would be the best choice for 104.9 since we have none here.
