I'm hearing solid rumors that a flip will happen soon at Beasley.....my sources say it could happen Thursday, but this is not confirmed. Keep it tuned and see what happens! :eek:
 
yea, i heard KDWN will be switching to techno/house with some illegal immigration mixed in. i know i'm excited!!

Although I stated earlier in the week that this would happen, I'm actually surprised it took place today. From the sounds of it, they were so far away from being ready for this flip. There's only about 2 hours of music in place and no jocks whatsoever. If they get any sampling now, those listeners will be gone for sure within no time. I predict this classic hits format will draw even lower numbers than the classic rock was producing unless some serious refinement of the product is done in a short timeframe.

Maybe they will hire some good talent, big promotions, live around the clock, etc....naaaw....this is radio 2007. :'(

Yes, they were off the air twice so far this weekend, first time was for an hour and a half, second time was Saturday night @8:45 pm for an hour. There are many pregnant pauses as if the automation system is not in sinc. I also took a ride out of the valley and the signal coverage was much poorer than usual, as if their signal power was decreased (maybe something to do with the off air problems?). Anyway the processing is not quite right also.....typical Beasely flip. not prepared
