former BCN Program Director Sam Kopper back on the air at WATD?

I'm pretty sure Joan only does occasional "specials", and Fridays nights were held down by Paul Van the Oldies Man for a while, then I think he was bumped so that Joe MacMillan could do fridays.. I think Joe also did imaging until recently too... There are enough WATD staffers and Alumni who frequent this board who will be along any second to correct me.

Ed Perry has an open door / revolving door staffing policy it seems.. people come, people go, people come back. Ed always seems to make room for someone who wants to work.

I will say that there are a few people from the WATD news department, who have gone on to bigger and better things after cutting their teeth at WATD. Laurie Kirby of WBZ radio and Alan Katursky of ABC radio news are 2 right off the top of my head I can think of.

Dont forget Bob Stewart at the River, Bob Stone at CBS among other WATD alumni.
Neggy, I think it is AARON Katursky!
Dont forget Bob Hedlund too. His show is generating some buzz for 'ATD on the South Shore. Heard him filling in on WRKO this past week. Was very good. Maybe he will be WATD alumni soon too.
(Val Venis didnt mention him because he doesnt like Republicans!)
Koppers show is great.

Sam Kopper has been on WATD for around a year now. First he was on Sundays from 12:15 to 3 PM, then moved to Friday nights 7 - 10 PM when Joe MacMillian left for work in Maine. Joe was still doing imaging until recently, and is still heard on many of their liners.

Good to hear Sam back on the air in the area, doing what he wants to do and playing what he wants to play.

Joan Orr does occasional folk specials on WATD pre-empting Ron Dwyer's oldies on a weeknight 7 - 10 PM when they happen, maybe once every few months.

She also does them on WUMB once in a while in a Thursday 7 - 9 PM slot in which they normally run syndicated or archived recorded programming. Their live shifts normally end at 7 PM on weeknights (midnight on Saturdays), then their automation system takes it with syndicated or rebroadcasted programming through the night.

I knew it was Aaron, for some reason I typed Alan... must have been late when I posted. I stand corrected.
