Former CBC O&O branding

What are some of the brandings used by CBC O&Os through the years? Here's some that I have seen.

CBHT > Maritimes CBC (1980), CBC Television Maritimes (1985), CBC Television Nova Scotia (1986)

CBVT > CBVT 11 (unknown)

CBMT > Channel 6 (1960s), Montreal 6 (1980-83), CBC Television Montreal 6 (1986-1989)

CBOT > CBC 4 Ottawa (1980), CBOT 4 (1985), CBC Television Ottawa 4 (1986)

CBLT > Channel 6 (1957-1972), CBLT FIVE (1972-74), CBLT/5 (1975), Toronto 5 (1980), CBLT-TV (1983), CBLT (1985), CBC Television Toronto 5 (1986-89), CBC Toronto (1992)

CBLFT > CBLFT 25 (1970s), Radio-Canada Ontario/Outaouais (1986)

CBET > CBET 9 (1978), TV9 Windsor (1985)

CBEFT > CBEFT U78 (1978?), CBEFT 54 (1985)

CBWT > CBWT 6 (1972)

CBWFT > CBWFT 3/10 (1983), Radio-Canada Manitoba (1986)

CBKT > CBC 9&4 (1984), CBC Television Regina 9/4 (1987)

CBRT > CBRT (1980), CBC 9 (1983)

CBXT > Edmonton 5 (1980), XTV (1983)

CBUT > Channel 2 (before 1976), CBC British Columbia (1980)

Any others that anyone knows of?
______________

I think in 1986 (possibly through the rest of the 1980s, to as late as 1993), almost all CBC O&Os had a naming convention of "CBC Television (main city) (main city's channel number)", including CBET Windsor, who called themselves "CBC Televsion Windsor 9" up until 1993 (at earliest). This was around the time the CBC had an image makeover, which included new network cues (the orange-tones on blue "exploding C" replaced with a crystal "exploding C"), new fonts and the "Best On The Box" slogan (to refect their quality programming).

Still do today, but as part of a regional network flagshipped by Ottawa's CBOFT.
Edited by rugrats1 on 04/12/06 11:58 AM.

CBXT began using "XTV" in September 1980.

-----------

Their regional branding starting in 1986 was pretty clunky compared to what was there. Changing CBLT to CBC Television Toronto 5 was pretty silly. Reminds me of what FOX tried around the same time - FOX Television Channel Five New York. I believe CBLT's branding was shortened to CBC Toronto by 1989 or 1990, but the CBLT calls were still used some of the time right up until 2000. It seems to me that when CBLN first went on the air in 1988, they branded separately as CBC London, and/or CBC Southwest Ontario with the CBLN calls identified hourly.

Pre 1986, what about CBNT/CBYT, CBWT, and some of the French stations?
______________
